Peda Waltair, January 23, 2012

Film actor and Telugu Desam Party leader N Balakrishna said that it is ridiculous to compare those who sell party tickets to TDP founder NT Rama Rao. Commenting sarcastically that people are claiming that their life ambition is to become a Chief Minister and are instead selling party tickets for money.

Balakrishna addressed a huge gathering in Peda Waltair junction after unveiling the statue of TDP founder and former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao. Making several sarcastic comments against Chiranjeevi indirectly, Balakrishna said that some people are calling him a child, and they will see his real power in the future. He received applause for every film dialogue he made in his speech. While saying that he will stay active in politics in the future, he urged the support of the people the same way they supported his father. He called on the TDP party workers to strive hard to bring the former glory to the party.

Criticizing the welfare programmes initiated during YS Rajasekhara Reddy's tenure as Chief Minister, he said that his family made lot of money in the name of welfare programmes. He said that the corruption, scandals, land grabbing etc. were encouraged by the Government and TDP should come into power to fix the situation. Balakrishna said yesterday that he is ready to contest against Chiranjeevi, if the party wants him to.
