A Dossier on Visakhapatnam
Tributes paid on the 150th birth anniversary of Telugu poet and writer Gurazada Appa Rao. VUDA Vice-Chairman said that VUDA was committed to develop Gurazada Kalakshetram.

The 150th birth anniversary of Telugu poet and writer Gurazada Venkata Appa Rao was observed at the Gurazada Kalakshetram. Vice-Chairman of VUDA Kona Sasidhar garlanded the statue of Gurazada and paid tributes.
Speaking on the occasion, Sasidhar said that the people of Visakhapatnam and the North coastal region should feel proud for his being born in the district. He said that Gurazada Appa Rao enriched the lives of many with his works. Kona Sasidhar said that VUDA was committed to developing the Gurazada Kalakshetram and to make it a popular cultural centre in the region.
The Department of Telugu at the Andhra University also observed the birth anniversary of Gurazada. Senior professor Sajja Mohana Rao said that Gurazada Appa Rao is still alive in the form of his works like Kanyasulkam.
